The golden yellow Canada Goose with a five-colour sky was third in my short series on Canada Geese migrating. Frequently on the move, from one feeding or resting area to another, or for whatever reason--known only to a goose--you see these large birds flying through golden and fiery-red sunrises and sunsets and brilliant blue skies (or obscured by low rain clouds). I doubt there is any place in Canada these birds do not call home (although not always welcome due to their widely-spread droppings on lawns). In spring, then again in the autumn when they form large flocks and move as one across the sky, I marvel at their faithful migration habits, as though following an invisible ancestor off a wing-tip.
