This scene is painted from a campsite at Kikomun Creek Provincial Park. The lake, which is a reservoir, is at low pool. While sitting by our evening campfire with a glass of wine, my wife and I watch the sunset progress from bright colours to a flicker of light. In my painting, I wanted to capture the moment when we would wish it would never end.
