Harman's Paintings > Landscapes

Every year, I’m amazed at the colour changes on the slopes of Fernie Mountain. In the spring and summer, the hillside is in various tones of green. When fall arrives, the greens become a blaze of golden yellow. The view for this painting is from our home and I knew that at some time I would have to paint this scene. I wanted to show the brilliant shades of yellow and what it would be like to walk through this forest with a golden carpet of needles and leaves.
