Over the years, I have camped with my family in this area near the Elk Lakes Provincial Park. In my painting, I wanted to show the sun breaking through and the mist still lingering in the alpine valley. The smoke from the cabin starting to rise with a rainbow in the background—signs of fair weather in the morning.
