When I thought of doing this mosaic (from a form of a challenge), I chose a length-wise rectangular shape to show a year of changes in the wild roses in our yard. I began with Spring, with the fat little rose buds, because that is when lush regrowth begins here. While I worked on it, in August, I saw rapid changes as the rose hips seller and turned colour and envisioned the beginning of the snowbanks which would soon cover them. I made this as an entry for an on-line juried mosaic exhibition in a group to which I belong. Subtitle: Seasons of Life--same as the name of the show.
