This popular campground is near a secondary road between Fort Steele and Wardner tucked in a wooded area between ranch and farm lands. Between the park gate and the Y junction there is a stand of Ponderosa pine trees on the east side of the road. This scene, painted at sunset, shows the glowing red bark of the ponderosas. The Steeples mountain range can be glimpsed in the background.
